Golf isn't for everyone

The sun was shining brightly as I stepped onto the manicured greens of the local golf course, my clubs slung over my shoulder. 

I had always been a fan of the sport, and I was excited to finally try it out for myself.

As I teed off, I felt a surge of excitement. I swung my club, sending the ball flying towards the fairway. But as I watched the ball land with a thud, I realized that golf wasn't all it was cracked up to be.

First of all, it was incredibly frustrating. No matter how hard I tried, I couldn't seem to hit the ball straight. I spent more time searching for my ball in the rough than I did actually playing the game.

Second, it was incredibly time-consuming. A round of golf can take hours, even days, to complete. I found myself spending more time waiting for my turn to play than I did actually playing the game.

Finally, it was incredibly expensive. Golf clubs, balls, and green fees can add up quickly. I found myself spending more money on golf than I could afford.

After a few frustrating rounds of golf, I decided that it wasn't for me. I realized that there are other things in life that I enjoy more, things that don't require so much time, money, and frustration.

One of the things I love to do is help others renovate their homes. I started my own 203k consulting business in 1994, and I absolutely loved it and still do. It's challenging and rewarding work, and I get to use my creativity to help people transform their homes into beautiful spaces.

But most importantly, it's something I love to do. When I'm working on a renovation project, I don't feel like I'm working at all. I'm just having fun and using my skills to help others.
